Wonderfully, peacefully located semi-detached 3 room apartments in Fajara, a typically African residential area in one of the best locations by the Gambian coast. The apartments are surrounded by a gorgeous and well-maintained garden with flowers, fruit- and palm trees.
Location
In Fajara, a suburb of Bakau, about 200 m. from the Kairaba Avenue, 800 m. from the beach, and close to a local supermarket (100 m) and a taxistand (200 m).
You will find the beach, the Fajara Golf & Country Club (18 holes), a supermarket, and the better, cozy restaurants, all within walking distance. For those who want to spend their vacation in typically African settings, a stay in one of our apartments is perfect!
Facilities
The reception is staffed 14/24 h, and you will find telephone- and fax service there. Possibilities to use the internet or send e-mails are in the direct vicinity.
Sports and relaxation
During your stay, you have free access to one of the available bikes. Furthermore, you may use the facilities of the Fajara Golf & Country Club (against a fee): golf, tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis and snooker. You can rent all needed materials on site. Also, you will find a swimming pool, a bar and a restaurant.
Apartments
The apartments are completely furnished. In the sitting room, you will find normal furniture and a tv and radio, a ceiling fan and a safe. There are two separate air conditioned bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. We have a baby bed available on request.
You will have your own kitchen or kitchenette, with refrigerator, oven and cooking facilities. The bathroom has a toilet and a bath/shower combination. Your terrace is provided with garden furniture.
Special
Cleaning and change of sheets: daily. Change of bedlinen: twice per week. Two 3-room apartments were built in 1968, and were fully renovated in 1997. In case of a power failure, we have our own generator.
Catering
Your stay is on basis of beds only. You can purchase breakfast- and lunch supplies in the local minimarket at walking distance. You will find some larger supermarkets with a more extensive assortment at about 2 km. distance.

*Have a look around the wood carving market in Bakau or Brikama
*Go to the fish market in Bakau or Brufut in the afternoon
*You can take the ferry across to Barra and return with a nice 'piroque'.
